The Blackwing Lair is a battle procession, which is resident in the blackrock and this is completely on the blackrock spire. It is designed for 40 level 60 players and is considered one of the most difficult raids. The Lair is located between the Searing Gorge and the Burning Steppes. This may seem a bit strange to you, as there is no normal entrance to this raid. You can only teleport into the raid with a bullet.
Blackrock is one of the largest mountains in Azeroth and is located in the Eastern Kingdoms. The mountain can be reached from the Searing Gorge and the Burning Steppes. The volcano was formed at the end of the Three Hammers War. Thaurissan, the leader of the Dark Iron clan, freed Ragnaros from his prison in a desperate act and the mountain was split by these powerful energies. Originally the Blackrock belonged to the dwarves and the citadel was created by a master stonemason of the dwarves.
A total of eight bosses await you in the raid, with Nefarian as the final boss. The first boss to await you is Razorgore the Untamed. He belongs to the Dragon Brood of the Black Dragonflight. The second boss is Vaelastrasz the Corrupt and he is a great dragon from the Red Dragonflight. He is one of the strongest and most infamous bosses in the Blackwing Lair. Broodlord Lashlayer is the third boss. He belongs to the Drakonid and is a cruel beast that blocks the way to Nefarian. The fourth boss is the great dragon Firemaw and he belongs to the black dragonflight. The fifth boss is also a great dragon of the black dragonflight and is called Ebonroc. The Flamegor is a great dragon of the Black Dragonflight and is the sixth boss. The last boss before Nefarian is Chromaggus and he is a creation of his master Nefarian. Chromaggus belongs to the chromatic dragons, which means he is an experiment of Nefarian.
The Lord of the Blackrock Spire, the son of Deathwing, the leader of the Black Dragon Brood and the final boss of the Blackwing Lair. Nefarian belongs to the Black Dragon Brood and has been fighting Ragnaros for years. He must be inventive in the fight against Ragnaros, otherwise he would hardly make it. Nefarian may not be a scientist, but he experiments a lot with the dragon eggs of the other swarms and seems to be quite successful with them. Nefarian has created chromatic dragons that form a new dragonflight. With this new dragonflight Nefarian wants to build on the old strength. Sometimes Nefarian also walks among humans in his human form and his name is Lord Victor Nefarius.
